Mark Mulder Pisses Me Off

So this crapfest of a game began with everybody sitting down in order, so off we go to the second where Oakland's down in order again thanks to a sweet catch by Dan Wilson of a foul ball from Miguel Tejada, and we waste a 2-out single from Mike Cameron, so let's just keep moving right along to the third where Scott Hatteberg led off with a single and an out later and Mark Ellis walked, but they don't score and then we waste Ichiro's 2 out single and yes there is a LOT of wasting going on this evening.

So fourth inning and Gil Meche retires the side in order once more, and then Bret Boone leads off with a single and then WELCOME BACK EDGAR who singled right after that and we DON'T SCORE THEM WHICH PISSES ME OFF ENDLESSLY and off we go to the fifth where Oakland wastes Hatteberg's 1-out walk and we waste Willie Bloomquist's 1-out walk in what I guess was ironic but mostly it just sucked.

So sixth inning and you'll pardon me for rushing through this but I hate recapping games we sucked in and with 1 out, Eric Byrnes TRIPLED but they don't score him which was rather excellent and we're down in order which wasn't excellent at all.

Seventh inning.  Meche was done pitching but nobody took him out and Eric Chavez led off with a homerun and then an out later and Hatteberg walked and then Terrence Long walked and then Jeff Nelson relieved Meche and Mark Ellis singled which loaded the bases and GODDAMMIT!!!!  It's 3-0 A's by the time they're done and Mike Cameron led off with a single and 2 outs later and Bloomie singled and then Ichiro reached on an infield single, but unlike Oakland, we LEAVE the bases loaded.

Eighth inning.  Arthur Rhodes relieved Nellie.  With 1 out, Tejada singled and an out after that and Aaron Taylor relieved Artie and got the final out of the inning and then Ricardo Rincon relieved goddamn Mark Mulder and our hitting coach, Lamar Johnson, got tossed for mouthing off to the crappy umpire and with 1 out, Edgar walked, and an out after that and Keith Foulke relieved Rincon and Cammie walked but we don't score which sucked very much.

So ninth inning and Hatteberg walked to lead things off but they don't score him and then with 1 out, John Mabry, hitting for Bloomie, walked, and then an out after that and Carlos walked but we fail to score them as well and drop the game AND our lead in the West back to four games.  Dammit.
