This Was So Cool

So this game began with us sitting down in order and Bret getting pissed off about striking out after the 2 crappy called strikes the umpire made and so he kind of threw his helmet and ended up getting ejected nevermind that he was throwing his helmet because he was mad he swung through the last pitch, not because the ump was making shitty calls and you could very plainly read Bret's lips which were enunciating "FUCK YOU!" to the umpire and then with 1 out, that Febles fellow singled and then he went to second on a balk called on Ryan Franklin nevermind that he totally didn't balk, like, what is WRONG with this assclown of an umpire and anyway, Carlos Beltran TRIPLED which scored Febles and then Raul Ibanez reached on an infield single before Ken Harvey grounded into a double play to end this crappy inning.

So top of the second, 1-0 Kansas City, and Edgar leads off with a big nasty double but we don't score him which makes me really cranky and then with 1 out, Angel Berroa reached on a bunt single but Brent Mayne grounded into a double play so nobody really cared and off we go to the third inning where we sit down in order AGAIN and then KC tacks on another run after Aaron Guiel's 1 out homer and we're off to the fourth trailing 2-0.

So Mike "I'm Goin Yard!" Cameron GOES YARD to lead things off and then Mark McLemore walked and then Edgar singled but we settle for the 1 run which was very irritating and then with 2 outs, Michael Tucker reached on a bunt single but then got picked off which made me shout "HAHA!" and we head to the fifth trailing 2-1 and with 2 outs, Jeff Cirillo was hit by a pitch but that was as exciting as our base running got, and then Berroa led off with a homer to make it 3-1 Kansas City and I said some very bad words.

Sixth inning and with 1 out, Jason Grimsley relieved Jeremy Affeldt and Mac walked and then stole second and then Edgar walked and we can't capitalize on it and then the Royals were down in order which was a long time in coming and off we go to the seventh where DJ Carrasco relieved Grimsley and Randy Winn singled to lead things off but a routine fly ball and a double play later and it really didn't matter much and then Franklin retired the side in order again.

So eighth inning and Nate Field relieved Carrasco, like how many pitching changes are you going to make for God's sake and we're down in order and then Arthur Lee Rhodes comes in for Ryan and Brent Mayne singled to lead things off and an out later Guiel singled, but Febles grounded into a double play and off we go to the ninth where things got all kinds of exciting:

Mike MacDougal relieved Field.  Edgar led off with a walk.  An out later and Ben Davis singled and Luis Ugueto came in to run for Gar.  An out after that, and Willie Bloomquist singled to load the bases.  John Mabry hit for Cirillo and reached on an infield single which scored Ugueto and made it 3-2.  And THEN - Ichi "I'm Going HARD YARD DEAD RED GLAND SLAM BABY!" ro WENT YARD FOR A GRAND SLAM AND IT'S 6-3 SEATTLE!!!
