So this game begins with Endy Chavez leading off with a double that makes me shout "MERDE!" but Joel Pineiro does not allow them to score and then we're down in order, so moving right along to the second, Joel retired Montreal 1-2-3 and then Edgar walked and John singled and then a rather upsetting double play later, Randy Winn walked but we are unable to get anything going and we head to third inning with no score.
So some Macias guy reached on an infield single to lead things off, but that was as exciting as it got for the Expos, and then with 1 out, Ichiro ripped this big nasty double, and then Carlos Guillen was safe on an error but the Mariners decide to give me a stroke and don't score yet again.
So fourth inning and Montreal scored a run but nobody cares how and then we tie it right back up again as Mike Cameron goes yard in our half, and it is 1-all going into the fifth inning where Michael Barrett singled, but that was erased nicely by a double play and the Expos end up down in order, and then with 1 out, Ichiro singled and then Carlos singled and then I had a stroke when Carlos was "thrown out" on a double steal and we end up scoring NOTHING.
Sixth inning and Montreal is down in order again, and then with 2 outs, Cammie singled and then Randy Winn singled but they forgot that whole "2 outs, so what?" theory and we don't score AGAIN. GODDAMMIT.
Seventh inning and I get really pissed off because Montreal scores and I refuse to get into how because I can't relive it without popping a blood vessel and we trail 2-1 and promptly sit down 1-2-3, so moving right along to the eighth inning, with 1 out, Arthur Rhodes relieved Joel and struck out the first batter he faced, gave up a single to Brad Wilkerson, and thankgodfully didn't let them score as Cordero flew out to end the top half and then some guy name Ayala came in to pitch for Montreal and I have a Bobby Ayala flashback but unfortunately, it isn't Bobby pitching for the Expos now and Bret grounded out and then Edgar singled and then Willie Bloomquist came in to run for him and then 2 pitching changes later we have failed in our quest to tie this stupid goddamn game up.
So ninth inning and Jeff Nelson, possessed of demons, allowed Montreal to score AGAIN and I don't want to get into how because quite frankly I CAN'T TAKE IT, I CANNOT TAKE THIS LOSING TO CANADA ANY MORE, THIS IS A TEAM THAT NOBODY WANTS AND WE CAN'T BEAT THEM TO SAVE OUR LIVES as we are down in order AGAIN and lose it 3-1, which subsequently loses the series for us as well. BAISER!
And before I offend any French Canadians, getting beat by anybody pisses me off, so don't merde your sous-vêtements over it.
