So this game began while I was at a baby shower (congratulations Theresa & Bryan) and we start things off by sitting down in order and then with 1 out, Cristian Guzman singled but an out after that and he got caught trying to steal!

So second inning and we waste John Olerud's 1 out walk, and then Minnesota wastes Doug Enormouslastname's 2 out single, so moving right along to the third, Ichiro singled with 2 down but we don't score him and then Ryan Franklin retired Minnesota in order.

Fourth inning!  Bret Boone singled to lead things off!  An out later and John Olerud singled!  Then Mike Cameron hit into a fielder's choice and John was out at second!  Then with runners at the corners, Randy Winn singled and scored Bret!  Then Jeff Cirillo singled and scored Randy!  We take a 2-0 lead into the bottom half where with 1 out, Corey Koskie walked, but nobody cared because it was erased by a double play!

"It's a two-ball.  You always go for it, and you know you'll at least get one at second. But Carlos always does a good job around the bag and he took the throw and converted the second out. As soon as I saw the ball hit, I knew we'd do it." - Bret Boone on their stellar double play

So fifth inning and Ichiro led off with a TRIPLE and then with 1 down, Bret grounded out but it still scored Ichiro and then Edgar "I'M GOIN YARD!" Martinez WENT YARD and it's 4-0 Seattle as we head to the bottom half, and the Twins get back a run after a couple of infield hits and a single, and I could give you more details but I don't want to.

Sixth inning and we're down in order and then with 1 out, Corey Koskie singled and stole second which would've been annoying if they'd scored him, but they didn't, so I guess I'll get over it, and meanwhile I have just gotten in my car and switched on the game while I drive home.

So seventh inning and with 1 out, Ichi "I'M GOIN YARD!" ro WENT YARD and it's now 5-1 and an out later, Bret reached on an infield single but we're all done scoring and head to the bottom half where with 1 down, Dustan Mohr hit one out as well to make it 5-2 Seattle.

So eighth inning and LaTroy Hawkins relieved Rick Reed and John Olerud led off with a big nasty double and then Cammie singled and then - yeah, nevermind.  So bottom of the eighth and Arthur Rhodes came in to relieve Ryan and retired the side in order.

Ninth inning, and Johan Santana relieved Hawkins and we're down in order as well, and I've just gotten home and turned on the TV and here comes Kazuhiro Sasaki to finish off the Twins, and he struck out Bobby Kielty and then Torii Hunter tried to bunt himself aboard but Jeff Cirillo did not like this idea and threw him out after a sweet barehanded pick-up and toss that he made mid-air.

So then Doug Enormouslastname flew out to end the game, and we win it by a score of 5-2 and I have to say I'm pretty happy with how May went.

"I'm sorry to see May go.  I'll take 19 wins every month." - Bob Melvin
