Cameron Dazzles With Defense

So this game began with 2 quick outs and then Corey Koskie walked and then went to second on an error and then Bobby Kielty walked and then OH CRAP!  Torii Hunter hit one out and NO WAIT!  MIKE CAMERON CAUGHT THAT!  HE CAUGHT IT OVER THE WALL AND BROUGHT IT BACK IN!  DENIED!  DENIED!!!  NO THREE RUN HOMERUN FOR YOU MINNESOTA! 

 So then as Mike is jogging back in, Torii is grinning and they had a good natured exchange, one Gold Glove centerfielder to another which I got a big kick out of and the next thing you know, it's our turn and Ichiro is safe on an error and then Carlos Guillen walked and then an out later, Edgar singled and with the bases loaded, John Olerud grounded into a double-DOH!  E6!  Ichiro and Carlos scored and everybody's safe!  And then Mike Cameron ripped a big nasty double which scored Gar and it's 3-0 Seattle as we head to the second.

So then Minnesota scored a run but nobody really cares how and we got it right back anyway because Mark "I'm Goin Yard!" McLemore WENT YARD to lead things off in our half, so it's 4-1 Seattle as we head to the third where Jamie Moyer retires the Twins without allowing any damage and we waste John Olerud's single.

Fourth inning and we all get to see Jamie Moyer retire the side in order and Mac lead off with a single and then Dan Wilson hit an infield single and then Ichiro sacrifice them over and then Carlos hit a sac fly to score Mac. 

So then fifth inning and Minnesota scored back a run after 2 singles and a fielder's choice and I really hate talking about when the other team scores and I could give you more details but I'm not going to and you can't make me.  So then with 1 out, Ole singled and an out after that and Randy Winn singled and then Mac walked and we unfortunately don't score any more and head off to the sixth inning still leading 5-2 where Giovanni Cararra relieved Jamie and Torii Hunter hit an infield single and then Todd Sears grounded into a double play which was really fortunate because Dustan Mohr hit a double right after that but then A.J. Pierzynski grounded out and it's our turn again where Tony Fiore relieved Brad Radke and with 1 out, Carlos Guillen walked but that is as exciting as it gets for us.

So seventh inning and Shiggy relieved Carrara and struck out Luis Rivas and then Jacque Jones doubled and then - and pay attention because this was SO INCREDIBLY COOL - Cristian Guzman was robbed of a hit by Mike "Ain't Nothin Gettin By Me" Cameron who came in so far to catch this that he STEPPED ON SECOND BASE HIMSELF TO DOUBLE OFF JONES and I don't think I have ever, ever in my whole entire life seen an outfielder make an unassisted double play.

And speaking of spectacular outfielders, Jay Buhner is broadcasting tonight which always puts me in a good mood even when we're down in order like we were in the seventh, so moving right along to the eighth, you can hear this totally loud and I'm guessing very drunk fan hollering merrily away at all the players and Koskie grounded out and while Kielty goes down swinging, this guy is happily screaming at Torii Hunter, who is in the batter's box "Cameron’s winning Torii!  I got love for ya, but Cammie's winning!" and Torii was probably amused by this because he seems to have a good time out there and then he reached on an infield single again but nobody really cared because Sears grounded out right after that and we're down in order once more.

Ninth inning and Kazu comes in to finish off the Twins and Mohr led off with a single but then Pierzynski flew out and then Rivas got a hit and NO WAIT!  MIKE CAMERON CAUGHT THAT TOO!  THAT IS MY CENTERFIELDER!  And you see Mike smiling because there is no mistaking that big Cameron grin and then Jones flew out and we win it 5-2.
