So this Mother's Day game began with my family and I having brunch and Jamie Moyer retiring the White Sox in order, and then Ichiro singled and Carlos Guillen was safe on an error and Ichiro went to third on it and then an out later and Edgar walked and then Mike Cameron walked which forced in a run, and a double play later we head to the second leading 1-0.

So Jamie 1-2-3's the ChiSox again and then we don't get much done even though Randy Winn led off with a single and an out later, Dan Wilson reached on an infield hit and an out after that, Carlos walked but we leave the bags full and head to the third instead of scoring, where Chicago picks up a run on a walk, a sacrifice and a double, so it's all tied going into the bottom half but not for long!  Edgar walked to lead things off, but a double play later and things aren't looking so good, and then Greg "I'm Taking the Lead Back!" Colbrunn TOOK THE LEAD BACK by knocking one yard and it's 2-1 Seattle as we head to the fourth!

So Magglio Ordonez led off with a walk and an out later he stole second but Konerko flew out and Crede went down swinging so nobody really cared as it's our turn again and Jeff Cirillo led off with a bunt single, and 2 outs later, Carlos walked but that was as exciting as it got, so let's just move along to the fifth inning and as you can probably tell, I'm 0-for-3 on SEEING the baseball games this weekend and I promise to get my priorities in order this coming week and will hopefully be able to WATCH them because I'm already suffering TV withdrawal thanks to the busyness of the past several days and anyway, Jamie retired the side in order and pay attention because this rocked:  Edgar started things off with a HOMERUN!  Then Cammie walked!  An out later and Randy doubled which scored him!  Then Jeff Cirillo singled!  An out later, Ichiro singled and that scored Randy!  When the dust finally settles, it's 5-1 Seattle!  YES!!!

Sixth inning and with 2 outs, Frank Thomas homered but nobody cares because nobody likes Frank Thomas after his ridiculous hissy fit that he threw regarding his own salary after Shit Lips signed that farce of a contract with Texas and anyway, 5-2 Seattle, and Chicago has a new pitcher for us whom Bret takes a liking to right away as he leads off with a single and then steals second and then an out later and Mike "I Like the New Pitcher Too!" Cameron ALSO TOOK A LIKING TO THIS GUY AS HE BELTS ONE RIGHT OUT and it's 7-2 M's!!!!  So anyway, an out later and Randy singled and Cirillo was safe on an error but we settle for the 2 runs and head to the seventh inning.

So John Olerud is at first base for Colbrunn, and with 1 out, Jamie hit Crede with a pitch but that was the only guy the White Sox got on base because Jamie got the next 2 guys no problem and then Chicago gives us another pitcher to play with and Ichiro leads off with a walk but that was as exciting as it got.

Eighth inning and Jeff Nelson relieved Jamie and with 1 out, Jiminez walked but that was nicely erased by a double play and we don't do anything in our half, so let's just move right along to the ninth where Kazuhiro Sasaki relieved Nellie and struck out Ordonez and then Carlos Lee singled but 2 fly outs later and we take the series 2-1 with a score of 7-2 which ought to make a nice Mother's Day for all the Seattle moms, especially mine, since Homer and I didn't have to be cranky and start fussing when we saw the score later that day.  My Mom rocks.
